for what..........................and I'll be a little sarcastic here....a go cart?

There are 3 different generations of Qs. you haven't given any indication of the year model you are inquiring about so you won't get much response. " Do they make an air ride kit or lowering suspension.....for a (year model) Q45, ???? "It's bone stock but I'm thinking about modifiing if not too expensive"

some thing like that.Welcome to the forum. THese quys are very smart and know their stuff. Also there is a "search" button on the top right of the screen...kinda changing colors.....click on it and type in what your looking for...good luck

Who be they? No preceding proper noun to which they may refer.

Whats this about!!! b meaning black???? just curious?

please be clear...I noticed the racial innuendoes and comments on this site lately. You little kids would not be man enough to act that way in front of someone black so why do it in forums especially when there is a broad reader base. ....Interesting.

That's the way to welcome a new member to the site!! Ridicule him because he has plans that involve something besides STOCK!!! NICE.

There are air rides available for your Q, you need to just search google for G50 and air ride. I'm pretty sure Air Runner has something, but since the systems available will all be coming from Japan, they're going to cost you a pretty penny, like 2500-4000 US $. Also, it's a 1990, is it a T, or an Active? If it's a working active, you can adjust the height by turning something on it, but I don't know exactly since I don't have a G50 Q and never bother to read the technical threads on them. Someone on here should be able to answer that, but it's irrelevant if your Q is not active anyhow. Good luck.

It's called "tough love"...

BTW...Has anyone ever ridden in a car with an "air ride" suspension kit? Does it feel floaty, like a boat?

There are some great photos of modified Infiniti cars on the http://www.airrunner.co.jp site....

I love the ride with air suspension firm. The airshocks give a solid ride not a lot of roll at all when lowered. Very comfortable at the top and still a firm ride.

Wow, this thread has gone completely off track.

First, If you're not aware of an air ride or "bags" suspension available for the Q45, don't post negative comments, it serves no purpose.

Second, I've seen a few somewhat biased ocmments on NICO as a whole, but not in the Q45 sub-forum. I think we're all adults in here and can disagree and debate as such, but if the need arises, changes in how we moderate can be made.

Third, if you (personally) ever have a problem with a fellow NICO-naut, please contact myself or Wes and we will address it.

Thanks.

Correcting someone's English skills and slamming their desire for an Air Ride because they don't personally see the point is tough love? I mean, I bet the 4 posts he's got will be it. He joined the site, asked ONE question and got nothing but derogatory and ingnorant comments. If I was him, I'd think "what a bunch of pricks. Screw that place." At least that's how I'd feel if that was how I got treated. I hope he sticks around though, I hope he finds an air suspension and hooks his Q up.

Yep. Continental Mark VII LSC. The ride was supple and not floaty at all, but firm when it needed to be. It took undulations quite well.

Overall it was a much better ride than my dads at the time Eldorado. Many of the streets in Tulsa just aren't glass smooth. Not then and maybe even worse now.

A Praxis-Systems type suspension setup would be terrfic for anyone who would like a performance air suspension on their Q.

Excerpts from the Tire RackThe Touring mode provides ride height, ride characteristics and handling traits that are comparable to the vehicle's original suspension.

The Sport mode reduces vehicle ride height by 25 millimeters from the Touring mode ride height and increases spring and shock damping rates to reduce body motions and sharpen steering response.

The Track mode reduces vehicle ride height by 50 millimeters from the Touring mode ride height, virtually doubles the original spring rate and specifies the firmest shock damping rates to maximize stability and handling response.

The suspension components weigh slightly less than the vehicle's original springs and struts, the complete Praxis suspension system evenly distributes under 25 pounds of additional weight around the vehicle.

Too bad the only applications are for various 1999+ BMW 3-series and 2002+ Subaru Impreza & WRX's.

I guess for a system strong enough to support the weight of a Q would likely add more than 25 pounds.

Oh well.

By the way I believe for air bag suspension questions you need to do a search on one ton garage and start from there.

When did things get so touchy over here? Nah mean...

Oops! My bad. I have not been for a ride in an air-ride equipped vehicle.

The Mark VII that I was a driver of as well as a passenger in had an OEM air suspension.

If I remember correctly the air bags on the MK VII were sourced by Firestone though.

Lexus and Lincoln owners are always looking for deals on hydraulic struts, while Q owners are looking for air ride upgrades. Grass is greener...

Wow things got a little carried away...

First thing... WELCOME TO NICO.

Second of all, while I may not recommend personally using the air ride kits (seeing how nicely Q ride with tokicos and springs), it can very likely be found or made..

If I may ask, why do you want an air ride kit?

Q: Why does anyone want an airride kit?

A: So you can raise and lower your car with a switch.

In any case, seems like he said heck with this place from the way he got treated. IMO, people need to keep their opinions on modifications out of it if they're OEM lovers. If someone is anti modification, posting those negative comments isn't going to change anyones mind. Hell, it's an OLD car, it's not worth much, who cares if it get's modded out like crazy?? At least someone would still be caring about it!

An air ride kit will improve your handling and for looks if you are into that stuff. Myself I got an 95 nissan hardbody layed out 18" boyds and pretty much top of the line setup most impressinve on the is the control arms with no stablizer. I am planning to the same thing with Infiniti 20" and air ride. I do most of the work myself.
