All knowing google has told me that this M10 turbo is from either a Pulsar, a Sabb or a s12. It probably came on other cars too.

Its a tiny turbo, its compressor wheel is efficient until 12 psi. Its comprable to a t25, so all the threads about a t25 setup pertain to you.

IMO its to small, and a waist of time. Better off finding a cheap t3 flanged turbo and running that. However plently of guys use t25's for low boost setups and love them.

well in that case ill probly just use it to take out of the initial cost of the project and replace it later on....this is my dd so all i need is low boost for now, and if im not mistaken, 12psi would get me roughly 120hp if setup correctly. am i right?

If tuned correctly the average is roughly 10whp per psi of boost. So 120 should be a good target.

Hehe no one needs boost, its expensive and a pita. If i were you i would just wait until i had the cash to do everything right. A t2 flange will choke your motor if your going for anything more than 350 hp.

I look at it like this. For me, boosting is a hobby, and your initial investment is whats going to hurt the most. If you spend your money wisely and buy parts that have a lot of room for upgrades in the future, your actually going to save yourself money in the long run. This is just me though, many ways to get into boost.

On the flip side of that, you could get an Ebay bottom mount t2 flanged manifold for about 100-150 bucks, that turbo, and bam you have the heart of your setup for under 200.

yea i dont like to think of myself as going cheap (even though i am) but more or less trying to get through turboing a car for the first time without disgraceing top of the line parts...im also not to well on cash right now anyways so its not like i have much choice, id just rather screw up with some cheap stuff then expensive stuff..all i have to do is get the whole setup down and ill start on the good stuff

For the SR there are good t2 turbos like the gt28rs and gt2871r which can comfortably reach 400hp with the right tuning.

When you say, buy parts that have a lot of room for upgrades what are you thinking of

The GT series of turbo's are $1200 plus...

That's a pretty big negative IMO. Especially when the T3/TO4E in 48AR will spool as fast and make as much if not more power for literally less then half the price.

If I was going to spend baller buck on a turbo, I'd get a twin scroll that would be capable of making 600ish hp. Since that's the only way to justify spending so much money IMO.
