All,

The air pressure indicator came on two days ago on the dash of my wife's 2008 Rogue SL.

Upon visual inspection, all seemed fine. I then checked all four and the pressure was 31-33 for all around. What could this be? What is the "normal" pressure for the stock Continentals?

Many thanks for any info.

M.

I believe that they should be 33 all around, there is a sticker on the driver door frame that gives the recommended pressures. The TPMS should only trigger if one of the tires falls below 26psi.

The light came on because you are too close to the limit of the TPM sensors. As soon as they drift a bit, you get a cold morning (like this past week), etc, they will come on.

Put the pressure in all tires at 35 psi and they will come on only when they are designed for, aka when you have a flat or a slow puncture.

As for the ride quality, you won't see a difference (this is not F1). I drive mine at 45 psi and drive is still good.
