Air noise from rear struts normal?

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Over medium-sized bumps I can hear the air rushing through the valves of at least one rear strut. 2016 QX50. Is this normal with these cars--just not much sound insulation around the rear wheels--or is the strut failing?

I have never heard any 'air' sounds from my shocks/struts.
I did have one front strut go out and it didn't make any air noises either.

Mine always did that.... it’s a 2010 Ex35. Never had a concern.
