What is the easiest way to remove the air intake resonator? Where is it bolted in? Are there any cons to removing it?

go to the drivers side take out the fender liner(the black plastic in the wheel well). unbolt and take out..

Doesn't do a bunch, some people say it drives a lil smoother and it's a lil louder. can't miss it . It looks like a big a** square milk jug

There is a resonator. How do you remove the whole intake, some of the bolts on the MAF are hard to reach

Ok thanks! Yeah I've seen it and I've cut the bottom off of it, but I just want the whole thing out now, and wasn't sure how to remove it.After cutting the bottoms of it off, I did noticed a tad smoother/quicker acceleration, so I'm hoping taking it off altogether will help even more.

Whats the purpose of cutting holes in the Air instake resonator? and do you only cut it if you have a K&n Intake.

You get more air when the resonator is cut or removed. Are you talking about a K&N drop in filter or K&N cold air intake? You don't have to cut/remove the resonator for a drop-in, but there is a noticeable difference in acceleration when you do. If you have a cold air intake, the resonator shouldn't be there at all.

you can also go to home depot and get some dryer vent hose and run it from the front to the bottom of the intake where your filter is for a ram air set up. I'm going to try this with Pvc and a sheet metal box made to collect the air.

yup thats what i did.... except i used plastic flex hose by spectre (at any corner auto store like kragen or autozone) its more of the right diameter dryer vent is kinda wide (4" diameter) but it works too

Fueler if you don't mind can you post up some pictures and does this reduce/improve fuel economy or makes no difference.
