on my intake it has three holes. but on most name brand intakes i see only one (IE they splice vacuum hose from valve cover and the hose from right of TB together and into intake). waht is the third hose for?? (see pic) the line runs down>vacuum T>one side goes to AIV>other side under TB?? waht is this for?? is this safe to plug? im guessing everyone with intakes with one hole, have to plug this line going under TB somehow.......BTW i just removed my AIV , sorry pic is small

if it is too the egr/evap solonoid yes you can plu them off but if you have an egr temp sensor you may get a code.

I see that you bought the Procarparts.com air intake also. I have a 92 240SX and I'm pretty sure that nothing goes there, so I just plugged it, and as for the other line, I am putting one of those air breathers on it so that it won't get dirty from being exposed. Like I said though, there really isnt anything that I've found that fits that hole, just bad design I guess.

Doesn't the stock intake pipe have three holes for three vaccum lines, too? I'd just put each of the hoses back in the same position it's in on the stock intake pipe.

afterthought: did a search and no vacuum diagrams. Anybody have one to share? please? I've noted a few people do not have them under the hood like myself. Thanks.

does that "box" attach to the fan shroud cause i followed the hose for a bit and thats where it looked like it attached too. I guess thtat would be a big job!

I took another look at it and it looks like 3-4 10mm bolts holding the box to the shroud. I think it would be easy enough to remove for myself but thats only because i've removed the plastic undergaurd plate from when i changed my pcv. Having that plastic piece removed has certainly helped for diagnosing probs. Before i would have to remove it everytime. anyways rambling here...axel what type of fans were you looking at?
