ok, i moved my battery to the hatch and made the short air intakein the installs section, and now it idles very bad, and dies. i know someone else has a post about this , and i tried every thing in that one. it still idles very bad. wheni start it and turn on teh a/c it wont die but it will bounce around 5-7 hundred rpm and is a very rough idle. is it sposed to be that way when you use teh a/c to keep it from stalling?i have tried using a diff. MAF, same prob. i put gskt maker around the joints to keep it airtight, and it didnt do anytihng. i tried to turn up the idle but it snapped the little nut/bolt off the thorttle bodie. can i mess with the throttle sensor on teh other side of it, or should i leave it alone?thankschasse

Have you tried resetting your ECU? One method of doing so is to unhook your battery for 10 min or so, stomp on your brake pedal several times to drain the remaining charge in your ECU, then hook the battery again. Hope this helps.

just unplug it when you get home for the night and reconnect it in the morning, remembering to reset your clock and radio stations. worked for me and another guy iKnow, which covers the 95 obd1 and 94 KA`s

The problem actually lies in the little metal tube that protrudes(sp?) from next to the throttle body. It must be hooked up to metered air(meaning in the intake pipe after the Maf sensor). This tube goes to the IACV(idle air control valve). If it is getting unmetered air, the car will run stupid rich. If it is blocked off the car just won't idle right. It is all hooked up for a reason. some stuff you can get rid of but this you cannot.

i tried to reset the battery again, i waited about 10 min and pushed on the brake to make sure all the charge was gone, it didnt help any. i doubt it has anything to do with the computer. justmerging- thank you for that little bit. that sounds like exactly what could be causing the problem, i have gone crazy trying to figure it out. ill try it tomorow after school, and see what happens eastcoastchaos- the tube is to the right and down a little of the throttle body. there is a plastic hose connecting it to the intake pipe.
