I bough an OBX cone filter adapter for my stock intake that bolts to the MAF then accepts a cone type filter- what do people do with the inlet air temp sensor from the stock filter box when they go to a CAI or do the cone filter adapter- there is no where to put it- right now it is wire tied out of the way- loose under the hood- I don't suspect this is ideal. I feel by SOPthat the car was faster before I changed it to the APC cone- but I was running a K&N filtercharger in the stock box with the bottom of the box modified to breathe better from under the filter. I'll be darned if I don't feel like that flowed better. Any opinions?

Buy a small adapter tube (pvc, aluminium, etc...) You only need a couple of inches in length, and install between Filter Cone and MAF plate. Drill holes and install Temp. sensor. Shouldn't cost you more than a few bucks.
