Hi, I own a 1991 white 5speed 240sx with an black sr20, I have non-name brand aftermarket clutch with stock master and slave clutch cylinders. Both cylinders were replaced due to a leaky master. Right after A bleeding my clutch will be stiff for about 40 mins or a hour of driving,City/fwy, then it will loose pressure eventually it won't bounce back up, takes about 20 mins of driving from start of noticeable clutch pressure decrease. Now, i have repeatedly bleeded all the lines, I Checked for leaks, none found. The fluid level always remains, some times i seed tiny bubble rise when i open the cap, i usually top it off as much as i can. I use brake fluid(yellow bottle, dot3/4 i think) for the clutch system. What is causing my clutch to repeatly loose pressure? What other fluid can i use instead of brake fluid that will work same or better? I think brake fluid absorbs water and then blah blah, cause my clutch problem.

As long as you're using DOT 3 fluid you're using the correct stuff. Is it a factory 5 speed car and does it still have the little inline block along the passenger frame rail? If so it is almost impossible to completely bleed the system using conventional methods.

Check this out, it should help.
