Alright on WOT ive tunned for a steady 12 across the board and the car runs like a champ at 7 psi, I'm really suprised at what a KA-T can do with such little boost now my question is what A/F is safe for mild boost, part throttle driving. in like 4th or 5th for instance on about 30-40% throttle i get like 3 or so psi and the a/f are around a 13.5, is this to lean , what should I aim for.

at only 3psi i bleive your 13.5 afr is jsut fine. there isnt nearly as much air flow compared to wot. the day i dynoed there were many cars there. a few had factory turbo setups. the factory fuel maps stayed in the higher 12's until higher in the rpms, maybe about 5k on an sr with a stock t25.

What about part throttle full boost. In 5th gear at about half throttle the mighty KA gets it up to 7 psi, what should the A/F be in this range, i was getting high 12s. Anyone have a good link that shows some good A/F to be aiming at in different conditions wiht a turbo car, I might end up putting my wideband on my buddies 944 turbo and seeing what a factory turbo car does.

Tuning for part throttle is a *****, since there are so many variables. What are you using for tuning? Are you tuning AF and ignition?

Im tunning using emanage with the E0-1 and a wideband. Since i have the pressure sensor i tune based on boost and its been real easy to get straight numbers and to retard timing based on boost. The car doesnt detinate at all and it runs great. I was just out and on light throttle like at 3-4 psi in 5th they get to around 14.5, but its fairly light throttle and the car still seems find, also its still retarding the timing so no detonation. any idea on what a stock turbo car does in these conditions? maybe they try to keep it fairly fuel conservative as well untill you really want to put on the power.

If your not detonating then I'd leave it. You'll definitly get better mileage. I'll let you know what numbers mine puts out when I finish the install. I'm just about done, just need to hot pipe welded up and I'll be boosting...finally.

when im curising in 5th and start to get into boost my car gets into the 11's quick.

im very jealous that you have the emanage with pressure sensor.

I've never seen such a extreme mix of reviews like for e-manage.

I love the E-Manage...

Once I installed the 30$ wire to run off my E-01 Pressure sensor making the A/F flat became way easy.

I also get 13/1 A/F at part throtle about 4-5 psi... But never had an issue... I also retart based on boost so its not much of a worrie for me.

Once I give it a little more throttle it drops to 11.5 - 12 quick.
