Ok, I just installed my AEM wideband. While crusing around im only reading between 16.5 and 17.9. At wide open throttle im only getting about 13.5 and this is on stock boost. Im just thinking is there something wrong with the wideband or is my car really running this lean. I have a warlbo 255 pump, a untuned safc, I do have HKS 264 cams and a megan racing manifold. I just had all the leaks in the exhaust closed up before I put the wideband in but I wouldnt think that would mess with the a/f ratio. Ive been driving this car for about six month and have run up to 13 pounds at times. I would think I would have blow it up by now but any help would be appreciated.

Its because You have a stock Fuel Pressure Regulator ...Right? And you blow a motor by running it too lean, Too rich is safer than completely blowing it but you loose power and too rich you can flood the cylinders and contaminate your oil by fuel seeping past your rings and thats if you dont completely wash the rings off the pistons and the fuel in the oil can wear your barrings out real fast!!! (KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK Time for new complete rebuild) Go pull your dipstick and smell for gas & Do us all a favor n buy a aftermarket FPR because I dont wanna see a post that any of this happened to any1 WHO'S YOUR BUDDY... ....? Im YOUR BUDDY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

if you have 650cc injectors and a ECU tune would you need a aftermarket FPR?

yes the higher the number the leaner your running, and no you dont need an fpr for 650cc injectors.

Well I havent put any setting on the Safc due to the fact that I thought at WOT the air fuel ratio would be in the 11s or 12s and riding would be in the 14s.

rinding around under light load 16s and 17s is fine, but just tune your WOT to like mid 11s

Juggernaut, i had the EXACT same problem with my sr. same afrs and everything. i still havent figured out what the problem was. here is a link to my tread and maybe it can help you out.

i ended up just adding more fuel with my safc, but i believe im going to have to upgrade my injectors to keep up with the added duty cycle.
