Well, now that I am almost done changeing my head gasket, I will soon be installing a number of gauges to help monitor the status/health of my engine. The first of these will be an Autometer air/fuel ratio gauge. If anyone out there has installed this specific gauge and could help me figureing it all out I would appricate any info I could get. I'm buying this gauge from a friend of mine that was going to install it in his RX-7, but now is into morotcycles. It has never been used, but we can not find any trace of the instructions. O yeah, and it's going in a 89 KA24E if that makes any large diffrence.Ryan

Ha, I didn't steal the gauge from Autozone either. In fact, I didn't think they carried Autometer gauges at Autozone. I just know my friend I got the gauge from, originally bought it from Summit.

the yoyo autometer one has three I think; black(ground) White(ignition hot) and purple(signal from O2)I've had two in my hand and the marbles are a litlle loose in the head so i might be mistaken.

I've had a problem that I still can't figure out about my autometer a/f ratio gauge yet.

When I turn my key to on the red led would light up on the gauge and when I turn on the engine the gauge's led would flash up and down quickly in the stoichometry/ideal area of the gauge and just die like there is no more power coming to the gauge? What do you guys think what could be the culprit?

so which color is the signal wire on the 240? Thats all you need to know. On most of the generic a/f gauges, u just need to know tthe color of the signal wires on the gauge and the o2 sensor. The other wires are misc.....

Ok I finally solved the problem today, but it seems to be showing that I'm running really lean. I had a bad ground so I had it grounded to the engine, same place as where I have the negative terminal from the battery hooked to near the throttle body.

the o2 wire is white and located above the 10mm harness bolt if i remember correctly. If its showing lean, that COULD mean that there's not a good connection signal wire/gauge wire, so make sure its soldered or you wont get an accurate reading.

my ****s rich as hell, while im crusing, it doesnt even bounce around it just stays green :(
