it will affect the reading to the ecu so unless you have 2 o2 sensors at different places, not really.

I never heard of that. A voltmeter will work just as good as an A/F gauge. I dunno what 240kid is talking about. All an A/F meter is is a voltmeter, which Im sure you're aware of already

ya but to use it while driving, you are gona have to unplug the wire and with the o2 sensor disabled, you are gona run rich anyway unless you cut and splice it, find a good ground, ect. it can be done just be careful, and a/f meters use wideband.

i know that a voltmeter (analog) is a good air fuel ratio meter, because the voltmeter need a little(very) current to work. i hope that it works... i dont disconect the o2sensor. i plug the red terminal of voltmeter in the wire of o2sensor without disconect it.what about you think ?

only the really nice ones...the ones that tap into the existing 02sensor are not wideband.

Sorry to be rude, but dont listen to 240kid. Hes got some bad information.

For the voltmeter. Get a good ground and get a reading from the o2 signal wire.

On another note, A/F gauges (the standard $50 variety) are intended for stock narrowband (0-1v) sensors. You dont CUT the connection between the o2 and ECU, you just tap it.

I know plenty about o2 sensors. Im running both a narrowband and a wideband in my car.
