Has anyone gone through this program? I'm strongly considering it and just wanted to get some info from people who have done it. I'm going to school to be a civil(or mechanical) engineer, so I'm sure I'd get to get to some cool places when I'm on active duty.

Hmm... I asked questions about the military here, and I'm glad I got answers from people who had experience in it and not some ***holes.

rousie13 was just asking some peers whether or not they had been in the program. I'm sure there are some Air Force people that are here in these message boards. I could see if it was asked in the All Motor or whatever forums but it was in the general (well, 240sx General).

The only *dumb* part I see is Air Force ; )

**** it, join the Marines!

Oh yeah, and I'm not talking ****, but I would never trust everything a recruiter said. They may have some good info, but I wouldn't recommend beleiving every thing they say.

there's nothing wrong with him asking his question in a 240sx forum...as josh said this is the " GENERAL " section.

rousie: there's alot more people in nico that is in the military than you think. i personally asked question regarding about the military myself, if you want you can search my user name and find the topic. I haven't gone thru the a/f rotc...but i am going into the a/f fulltime, leavin here for bootcamp on Oct 1st.

JOsh and drifter: man every branch have their goods and bads..i personally love the marines..but found the a/f might be more suituable for me, so yeah...GO AirForce!!

haha yeaaaaaaaa #1 rotc is totally different from recruiting....in rotc you will pop out as an officer after college....go to a recruiter....you will become enlisted....Officer= alot more respect....it is mandatory that all enlisted members salute all officers........sooo rotc is a good idea....plus right after colllege u'll have something to do...instead of looking for a job.....how ever...if you do go through the rotc program you owe the military 8 years of your life after college......

There's nothing wrong with asking non-car related questions, in a non-car related forum. However this is a general forum in the 240sx forum. And I am air force, been in for a couple years now, hence I'm in japan.

yea becoming an officer is cool. That's not the only way to become an officer, you can even finish college(4 year) and then sign up as an officer or you can enlist now go to college while you are in the a/f. That's what i'm trying to do, i'm trying to go to college while i'm in there if time permits and then cross over to officer and aim for pilot. muahahhaha

.

As long as you have a state-side dirvers liicense your all set, they assume your a compitent driver so you automaticlly get the japanese licence. Kinda wierd since the laws of the road are different over here, not to mention driving on the left side of the road....but ya get used to it

Thanks guys for the opinions. I'm just trying to debate if it's worth 8 years of my life.
