Hey guys Iv'e got a question reguarding running a JWT setup w/ SAFC. Iv'e always had this setup but Im curious what a/f % your afc is metering. I normally run my HKS BOV back into the intake between the maf and turbo but thought I would switch it back. My car has always ran too rich and Im trying to get it back to normal. What are some of your setups reguarding vacuum routing. Im putting a filter back on the valve cover t fitting. one goes to the canister and the other a filter. what do ya'll recommend and what is your a/f % at idle? It always hesitates when hitting boost and when I'm at WOT it gets past the hesitation but still lacks the power it used to have. Iv'e since replaced the motor but still have the same problem. possibly the harness has some issues. Any suggestions and some feedback on the a/f % would be helpful.

how are you measuring? my afr is around 11.5:1i don't lean it out much with my s-afc though. i like her rich.

i measure my afr by a uncommon method. i have a little gizmo that knows what amount of air most nissan maf's flow at what voltages. it also reads injector pulswidth. it figures afr by putting the maf volts into a amount of air, and then takes the pulswidth and injector size and puts into a 1:1 ratio. at idle i'm around 14.0-15.5:1. so i think its accurate.shaun

What Im really trying to figure out is what everyones safc are reading on the a/f % screen at idle and if anyone ever hits 100% at WOT like I used to. and what set up with the afc. Such as jwt or other. Im just trying to go back in my memory and remember the last time it ran right and figure out what I did.

at idle, my airflow thru my 300zx maf is at .7-.8 or so. i do have cams, so mine isn't a great example. is this what you wanted? its a little confusing cause you call it a/f and i am thinking air/fuel not air flow.shaun

Oh Im sorry. I guess that wasnt a very well worded question. Mines around 1.0 to 1.3. My vacuum is around 470-510. All I know is when my car runs good my air flow % is around what yours is and my vacuum at idle is around 500 constantly at idle. Do you ever hit 100% at WOT?

Oh another quick question. My safc with the ign. on but the car off the air flow % still reads .3 %. It should be .0 % obviously. Like it used to be. any suggestions?

when car is off, but key is on, i get .2-.3 also. i have never hit 100% with my 300zx maf. my s13 maf would all the time hit 100%. are you hitting 100%? that would be around 500+ hp worth of airflow. shaun

When I first had the swap done I was but I think its when I had the stock ka computer for a couple of weeks hooked up though. I just remembered that when I started to think back on the original set up. I know one thing. When the boost is turned up the airflow increases for obvious reasons. I posted another question on FA yesterday evening but it looks as though someone deleted it or moved it or my head is up my azz. probably the last one. anyways, my voltage on my afc for air flow reads .635-.655 and my avcr reads .655-.665. So I dont know what to think accept its causing the car to hesitate I believe. Iv'e resoldered the grounds and they are in the correct postition that I know. Iv'e got another harness I think Im gonna swap into it and rewire the afc and avcr. basically start from scratch.
