i have the filter and the metal piece that that mounts to the maf adapter. I thought i could just put the filter on while still keeping my stock intake tube. There would be no place for the maf's senser that is mounted on the stock air box. Also, there is a hose going to the stock air box too, which wouldn't fit anywhere if i added the filter. What i have is this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...38634. Need some help ive seen this done, but can't find any pics of it. Thanks, guys.

i assume that you are talking about the small hose that goes off of the intake box to a sopt right above it, just put a breather filter that you get at pepboys for a couple of bucks over it. as for the sensor plug that you are talking about just disconnect it and tuck it under something. and attach the filter to the maf housing. it wont affect anything that would be noticible

thats not exactly what he's saying.

Your actually doing the same thing i'm doing right now as well. what you need to do is take out the air box and the stock filter all the way up to the MAFS. The MAFS stays and that is the piece that has that little black box held on with 2 screws. You'll see that the MAFS has a couple wires running over to some other sensor that is attached to your stock air box, this is the connection you undo and tuck away somewhere. Now you take your MAFS adapter and screw it onto what is left of your intake and this is where the cone filter will be added as well. As for that hose that ran to your stock air box, just run down to your local auto store and ask for a breather, they're cheap. Its like a little filter and it will replace that hose. And there ya have. your good to go.

got it thanks. Car idles fine just sounds a little marbley under load. I wonder if this has anything to do with it. I believe that is just the heat sensor that is screwed in the stock air box so it shouldn't have anything to do with whats going on.

The tube running away from the intake box was the PAIR system, used for equalizing atmospheric pressure in the exhaust system
