air filter options

been looking into cone/mushroom filters and my question isn't which is best but which to use. will anything for s13 sr20 work? are ca and s13 sr20 maf's the same?

I just got an ebay cone-filter special. Its good enough I guess and didn't break the bank. Then again I am using a maxima maf.

310hp and if you decide to upgrade to the Z32 later, all you have to do it plug it in as the wiring and dimensions are the same (of course safc or eprom settings will need to change).

Check out this site. It's a supra forum but each filter is also available for the S chassis. They do a filter particle test on a variety of filters. The Apexi looks to be the best one.

still doesnt answer the question can i use a filter for s13 sr20. all im asking is

is s13 sr20det MAF same as s13 ca18det MAF???

I don't know if this helps but I have the APEXI SR filter. It has the APEXI intake elbow that hooks to the maf. The holes do not match up to the CA MAF. I had to drill one hole out and drill out another hole then it worked just fine. Paid a 100bucks for the filter and was told it would fit the ca but this was incorrect.

the sr and the ca mafs are different. I have the apexi filter that came with the elbow which says apexi and it was for a ca exactly. I love it.
