Hey guys, i'm looking to buy an APEXi, HKS, or Blitz air filter to open things up for my project. What i'm wondering is which filters will fit the CA Maf? Will ones for the SR work? I'm hesitant to buy an SR one because i dont know about the sizing.

Thanks!~Ian

the filters come with adaptors for the AFM, the SR and CA AFM mounting patterns are NOT the same, buy one for the CA.

speaking of z32 maf...does it work with an Apexi Power FC? I thought it would but someone had a problem over in the SR forum.

TMS...would a ca18de after market fitting work??? For example, could I go get a K&N pulsar cone and bolt it to the ca18det mafs you're sending me :D (get my money yet..should be there soon if not!)

@ NeedCAforS13 : Should fit, cause the MAF is the same on CA18DE and DET. The fitting is the same the only thing that differs is that the K&N filter from the DE is a bit shorter (atleast in the K&N kits available here).

Stop! don't buy the K&N, the AFM on the harness I am sending you already has an HKS adapter on it.:) whaen you get it just score the proper HKS filter cage for the adapter.

it's just the adaptor to mount the "bug eye", you have to buy the actual filter cage and foam but the adaptor is still on the flow meter.

Hey, I was just checking the application chart on Apexi's site and I don't see anything about CA equipped S13's. Is there a PowerFC that will work with the CA18DET?

you can only get the CA18 Power FC from a Power Excel dealer, it's special for some reason.

a liscenced Apex dealer shop should be able to order it for you. I have been told second hand that out of the box the "power excel dealer" Power FCs require some further setup once installed on the car.

The CA AFM runs out I would speculate around 250hp, probably sooner. There are several ways to monitor the voltage out of the AFM to see when it maxes out, the Apex SAFC has that function or just a basic mulitimeter will work. The 300ZX or Infiniti Q45 are the best upgrades. They have more potential to measure the air but need to be tuned for. If you just slap it on and go you will have trouble.
