I have a spare that I'm swapping to in a matter of a few minutes, but it's weird that it's leaking now. I've been running this rail since...well ever and it's never given me problems. Maybe bending the tabs bent the rail as well. I'll go out and snap some pics.

Well my camera broke, so no pictures. I swapped fuel rails, yet I still have the hesitating issue. I haven't hooked it up to the boost leak tester or even driven it yet, but when I rev it it stumbles if I open the throttle all the way from idle. If I rev it slowly it's fine, it's only if I go from closed to fully open.

I'll get new plugs tomorrow, I could use those, but I'm sure I still have a vacuum leak. I'll also drive to a local z specialist shop and see what he thinks about this. I've never .

You know what, I have a consult cable, what am I doing guessing haha. I'll pull codes tomorrow and see what I get, if I get nothing I'll go ahead and see what else it could be. I need to get it inspected before I can drive it, I wonder if it will pass like this haha.

Yea, it will pass. State inspection is just safety items. You say you swapped over your motor/trans? I would check back over any and all connections that have to do with the MAF, and other intake connections. I doubt you will have codes in your ECU, check the voltage values of your sensors while you duplicate the hesitation.

Found my leak, it's not the fuel rail. It's right around my egr block off plate/tube coming from the back the air regulator. I tightened my egr block off plate but it's still hesitating, I'm going to start taking things off and replacing them to see if it fixes it.

Good that you tracked down the source. If you end up having to take off the IM, you might as well do everything now. If you had a catch can to install it would also be the time to cap off the rail under the runners and do all of that.

Yeah, if I have to take it all off I'll definitely get my pcv system in order.

I took off the iacv/air regulator tube, the leak isn't coming from there, and I made a new gasket for my egr block off so that's not it either. I'm bringing the air compressor to my house tomorrow and will be checking for leaks with the iacv tube off, that way I can get closer to where the air is coming from. It must be coming from the iacv or air regulator, those are the only other things I can think off. Unless one of those allen head bolts on the lower half of the manifold is leaking, but I've never heard of it.

In other words, it's just another case of owning a ka-t setup haha.

Or, perhaps you IM gasket is leaking. I have one of those heat sheild IM gaskets if it ends up being the issue or you take your IM off.

Spray carb cleaner all over the intake and anything else you think may be leaking, or could be rather. Listen for the idle to change as you spray different things. If the idle changes, there's a leak.

Doubt it's a MAF issue, unless the MAF isn't filtered. The MAF will be good or bad. So if it rev's past 2500 it should be fine. If the MAF goes the ECU trips into limp mode.

Thanks for the suggestions, I'm about to head out right now to check for more leaks.

WD, I'd do that, but I know for a fact I have a leak, I just don't know exactly where it is. The carb cleaner would get me a general area, but now I just need to pinpoint it.

Casey, if that's what it ends up being i'll hit you up. Thanks.

Alright, update.

I hooked the air compressor up with the iacv/air regulator tube off, and viola, no leaks. It must have been leaking from the aac or air regulator, or even one of the rubber hoses connecting the air tube to the sensor itself. I grabbed the iacv and air reg from my spare engine just in case they had an internal leak or something, as well as made a new aacv gasket to replace the old stock one. It then started tornado-ing outside, so I headed inside for the night. I'll replace everything tomorrow and get it inspected, hopefully replacing these parts will fix the leak.

Chris, definitely do a thorough cleaning of those parts before you reinstall them.

Nope, I actually attended it in Daytona Beach that year. I was conceived in the 70's in the back of a Chevy II on a full moon lit night in the back row of a drive in theater.

Alright, boost leak might be fixed, oil pressure sender line decided to recreate the deepwater horizon, hydraulic store isn't open until Monday. Updates will be had then.
