i have an s13 with the sr20det red top swap, the AC was included with the swap.

I am having issues with being at idle, and turning on the AC...it drops the RPMS to nearly stalling out the car.....if i'm driving at normal road/hwy speeds, there is no issue with the RPMS.

Any suggestions?

Sounds like the FICD solenoid isn't working properly. It's what allows extra air into the throttle body to make up for the drag of the a/c compressor and raises the idle rpm to 1000. It could be dirty... broken... not connected. You get the idea. Considering that you folks have sr swaps, I'm betting either the wiring harness isn't quite complete or you simply failed to connect it.

Yes, but it's not very wise to just go replacing things without figuring out what's wrong. That solenoid really has no reason to break. Get dirty and clog up maybe, but not break.
