Air Conditioner compressor turns off and on when cabin temperature in hot

My AC works fine (compressor remains on) once the cabin is cool reguardless of how hot it is outside. But when the cabin is hot, like above 90 degress, the compressor keeps stopping and starting.

I changed the thermister last year (the sensor that mounts into the exhaust side of the evaporator coil) and it seemed to work for awhile but now is doing the same thing. Anybody experience this problem?

Mine was acting up similar to that. I had the system recharged and that cured the problem for me.

Well I'll try that, but I don't think that's the problem because I converted over to 134 about 2 years ago and the guy vacuumed and recharged the system and it still did it both before and after the conversion.
