Mold builds up, thats your smell. Just running the unit without ac helps dry it out. I had the same problem so I tried running it without the ac for a little while, and it really helps. Some other members get it worse...had to buy this spray to put into the vents to help their issue.

if you run the A/C without using recycled air often then that problem should be very minimal. If you turn it on and that happened, just open all windows for a few mins, should be all gone

you would think that the car being so new wouldn't have that problem... my first gen doesnt have that problem at all... moldy vents/air coming from a new car just doesnt sound right to me.

If you've had a few days where its really humid and your using your AC there is a potential for a smell or mold to occur. Fairly normal IMO. It tends to go away after your turn it on and it all blows out. Or are you saying its constantly smelling like this?

no, it rarely happens. probably happen like 4-5 times. Yea, I guess when its hot and I turn on the ac, it happens but its been cold lately so I only use the vented air.
