Air Condition and Filtered Air

Am I the only one experiencing this problem?

You can turn on the Air conditioning and use the circular air filter at the same time but when you just want to use the air without the ac, you cannot turn on the circular air filter? Hence I have to smell all the california pollution when I don't want to turn on the AC...

It seems like the only way to use the filter is to actually turn on ac all the time? Is this right?

Because my previous car actually let me filter out air even without the AC on.

Aren't you normally suppose to be able to turn on that feature with the ac off?

i had a vw before my coupe and i could but i guess it just varies with diff cars

Nah, none of my cars ever worked on recirc without air conditioning on...don't think its an issue, well at least that I had A/C in which was..actually the cars with out A/C didn;t even have the option of recirc

A lot of cars call it "Max A/C". I'm pretty sure you won't find a single car today tha allows recirc without A/C. Well at least Every Honda, Toyota and Nissan from what I've seen, I don;t even bother with the "big 3" anymore. They suck donkey nuts and I am very very anti-UAW
