Air Con Advice

OK, it's triple digits hot today and we haven't ever used the air conditioning much or ever had the system checked/re-charged that I can recall in about 15 years of 1993 J30 ownership.

The belt is less than six months old and there are no abnormal sounds, and in the recirc mode with lower fan speeds the air is almost cool, but not really cold. Performance has been deteriorating for a while.

Does it sound like time for a simple re-charge and any any ideas about what the going rate might be?

Just take it to a good a/c shop and have them tell you what they think. Most places will do that for free or cheap. Then you have an idea of what you're up against.

Sounds like a leak somewhere.Sealant and recharge is the cheap option.
