I had a very minor accident and both air bags went off. in the fsm it says to replace the air bag diagnoses unit which i believe is under center arm rest.is this mandatory or can i just replace the fuse in the fuse box? and there is no mention of the sensor up front in the bumper area if it should be replaced? the only damage to my car was the license plate holder has a slight crack.i was planning on seeing what the local junkyards have to offer and wanted to know what to pick up.any help greatly appreciated.

Once an air bag deploys, you have to redo the system - that's how they're designed, and that's why the cost so damn much to redo....

it's also against the law in NYS for a junkyard to sell airbag related parts technically (unless you know someone or have a sleezy local yard)

thank you guys for the info. all the local junk shops have the air bags in stock. they are used and god only knows how reliable they will be but for the price they will have to do.
