air bag light is on ?
Hi. I am a proud new owner of an 04 G35 with 40,000 miles on it. I LOVE this car. This is my first foreign car that I have owned and I LOVE it. anyways I have had the car for a month and now the airbag light is flashing. I do not have a warranty so I cant bring it back.any ideas on why it just started to flash.thanks in advance, Jen

Please clarify what you meant by not having warranty. Also, do you have an 04 or 05 G35? Infiniti warranty is transferable (except salvage title). The basic warranty (4-yr/60K miles) has probably expired but the Powertrain Warranty (6-yr/70K miles) should still be valid.
If this problem persisted after following the reset procedure, call Infiniti Consumer Affairs for information on how to resolve your problem. You may a get repair for free. Just be nice when you call them.

How to reset AIRBAG SRS Light on 2003 - 2006 Infiniti G35 Coupe
Ignition Key Method:1) Turn IGNITION on (but don't start car)2) After the AIR BAG warning lamp lights for 7 seconds, turn IGNITION off within 1 second.3) Wait 4 seconds4) Turn IGNITION on (but don't start car)5) After the AIR BAG warning lamp lights for 7 seconds, turn IGNITION off within 1 second.6) Wait 4 seconds7) Turn IGNITION on (but don't start car)8) After the AIR BAG warning lamp lights for 7 seconds, turn IGNITION off within 1 second.9) Wait 4 seconds10) Turn IGNITION on (but don't start car)11) Wait 3 seconds12) Turn IGNITION off13) Wait 2 seconds14) START Car (the light may be blinking slower than before)15) Wait 3 seconds16) Turn IGNITION off17) Wait 3 seconds18) START Car
Alternate Method:To reset the light simply turn the ignition to the on position. All the lights should stay on for their diagnostic check. As soon as the airbag light goes off, before it starts flashing, immeditatley turn the car off. Repeat this 3 (turning to on then off) and the light should go away.
