Air Bag Light in Dash

Hey guys, I'm new on this forum and I was hoping someone would be able to help me out. If this has been posted before, I aplogize.

I have a 1994 Q45 with just over 75k on it. The Air Bag light in the dash comes on and off in consistent intervals. Is this just a warning feature to tell me it needs to be checked as part of regular maintenence or is there something else going on?

Welcome to our Forum.

Try resetting it first. It is in the manual around RS-22 and RS-23 (1995).

There are a couple of posts here and in Infiniti Online Mechanic.

Does the airbag require service after so many years? I think in my Mercedes there's a service date or something.

reset the airbag light... turn the key ON (dont start the motor) and within 10 seconds, press the drivers side door switch 10 times or more. it should turn hte light off.

the drivers side door switch is on the B pillar, kinda by the lower hinge for the rear door.

Thanks Elwesso! I tried that and it worked for me. Any idea why it came on in the first place?

Golden... For some reason it likes coming on for some reason. It happened on my old Q, i think it was after I undid the battery or something equally stupid....

Sometimes the Q electronics go crazy and just need reset...
