Air Bag Light Flashing - Horn Broke - Clockspring?????

Hey, I'm new to NICO, but been reading posts for awhile though. First post....woo hoo. Was wondering if I could get a couple opinions.

First off, my airbag warning light began flashing. I tried clearing the code by depressing the door pin, didn't work, kept flashing. Then, I noticed the damn horn stopped working. I checked all the fuses, relays, etc., nothing out of the ordinary.

My friend said that an 80% it's the clockspring. Sounds like a cheap little part right....don't think so. The dealer wants $869.27 for the part, just the part, no labor.

I was wondering if anyone knew where I could find one for a better price. Maybe refurbished or something. I really cannot see myself spending all that damn money when I could be halfway towards a turbo kit. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried disconnecting your battery and letting it sit for awhile? How is your battery anyhow?

Also try pressing the door pin more than the recommened 7 times. I had to press it 11 for mine to reset.

If all fails call local junkyards and ask for used parts.
