ok. got the SR started yesterday for it's first time in my care. dont have the d/p on connecting it to the exhaust.yesterday it smoked I didn't have a radiator cap or anything, then today I got one and put it on.I then noticed it was leaking coolant when I turned it on again to check the smoke (no more smoke). and it only leaks when it's on.

It's leaking from the bolt on the flange where the coolant line connects to the compressor side of the turbo (or it might be the middle, it was a bit cramped under there.)I've tried tightening the bolt, it did leak a bit more then stop, it's also not making boost anymore, and vacuum is right above -20. I can only get it to 0 at 6-7K not even 1psi.....is the turbo gone?

When you say that its not boosting where you driving the car? or revving it? because the car wont boost in nuetral..

If you were driving and it didn't go near 1 psi then your wastegate is probably the culprit.

I had just checked the wastegate hose, because before it would go to over 10psi, at around 68-7K rpm I guessed it was unregulated.

yeh I was in neutral, I'm guessing now that everything's connected properly it won't show positive boost? I mean, it only worried me because the gauge showed boost before

I know it only boosts under load, and I recently read in another thread that 20 vacuum is normal. but like I explained earlier...yeah...

but what about the bearing housing leaking coolant from the bolt?it's still leaking quite a bit. I don't wanna lose all of my coolant through the turbo when I finally get it on the road.

like I said, the bolt doesn't seem to really be tightening.... yet I can only move it in small increments it didn't seem to go anywhere...
