Ok guys... ecu code... 34... knock sensor. I may need a new one, hopefully i just didnt hook it up. According to yalls advice, that could be the stumbling on boost problem so im gonna pray. Im going to find out where and how that thing hooks up but if not, anyone know where i can get one for less than $100?

I would be very suprised if it's gone bad. I don't think I've ever heard of anyone with a Nissan that had a knock sensor go bad. It's a pretty simple little device and doesn't even really have any moving parts. I would check for continuity in the knock sensor circut first. I'll get that you don't get continunity and that it's either unplugged or not hooked up. Keep us updated....

Ya, the CA18det knock sensor are well built and haven't seen one gone bad, unlike the 300zx vg30de/TT it is common to go bad on them, and nab911, If yours is bad, I can ship you a used one with the chips that I am sending you, let me know before Monday 4:00pm

Well, i looked through the FSM and it really didnt give much detail as to where it is either than on the block. I was looking at the ka24de block i have sitting and its in the middle of the block about an inch below the head. Can anyone direct as to where it is and if you post pics... you are my hero :)

Hi Nab911,

It is located above the oil filter and about 1 inch below the intake, it got a green color plug.

Good luck,

ok ill take a look at it tonight and hope that its not plugged up. Also, not sure who knows about my problem but its stumbles really bad... like no extra power right as it hits about ~3 lbs of boost. I have a blow through maf setup so i dont think its a leak. But do you think this detonation sensor and the fact that my o2 sensor isnt in the exhaust would caus this problem?

Hi Nab911, email me your address to where you wants the chips shipped,

O2 sensor wouldn't do the hesitation, the car will run a bit rich but it won't stumble. On my det, I can disconnect the det sensor and the car will run fine without any effect on performance, even though the ecu shows det sensor code, but I have seen few people on the forum where they forgot to connect the det sensor and the car ran like ****. So,I would start with the det sensor, let me know if you need one before 4pm, as I took them out of the old engines that I got and they are in my car right now, so I can ship you one.Check for vaccum leaks, timming, bad injectors/ sparkplugs.

Did you run diagnostics on the ecu?
