Okay, so I'm working with this dealer who has been great for just about everyone I know. A few of us have bought cars from him. I'm getting a rogue for him. Right now he is on the hunt looking for a rogue to make a dealer trade with but is not having any luck. I'm looking for any color that has the red/black interior with just a premium package.

He's found a few, but they were far enough way to ask for a flatbed which isnt going to happen. I don't know what it is about the red/black interior, but it looks just much more sporty than the other interiors.

They have a sliver ice colored Rogue on the lot with premium package and they offered that with a few hundred dollars off so now I have to decide. I told them to go ahead and include a sunroof in the search, but if that doesnt turn up any takers, I have to decide whether to hold out or whether to take the rogue on the lot.

I guess the advice I'm looking for is how often do inventories turn over. This particular dealer sold their first rogue in 10 minutes, the next 2 they recieved have been on the lot for the past 3 or so weeks. They havent recieved any new ones, so my question is, is Nissan only sending out new rogues when ones on the lot have been sold?

If so, I don't see a red/black interior coming to this area any time soon. Any suggestions, comments are welcome. I mean I think I would be happy with the rogue on the lot, but there is something thats telling me its worth getting what you really want.

Very simple, wait for what you really want.........think about it, down the road when you have the Rogue you did'nt want but settled for, and start thinking about the other Rogue that had the interior you wanted would kill you. Pay for what you want, it will pan out for you to get your Rogue in due time.

I agree completely. in fact, you can also consider (if you've got 60-90 days to buy) special ordering one from your dealer after negotiating cost. that way you have all YOUR specs and are getting your price. if you think about it, that is a quick sell for them with no wasted time on the lot.....

Thanks guys, the number 1 thought in my head is to wait for the one you want. Thats hard though.... really hard.

Some things that float in my head about the black/red interior is that they look great in the photos, but the thruth is I havent seen one with my own eyes... not only that, I havent even seen an ametuer photo of the interior that I can remember, so I'm not 100% is will be as great as I think it will be. The few people who have seen them here on the board really didnt seem too like them as much.

I'm torn, I really am.

Well then...........go check one out that has the interior. Should not be considered a waste of time to go check one out on another lot, then you can make your mind up. Big decision when buying a car, tie up all loose ends before you make your mind up on a important purchase.

Some sage advice from Mr. jdshift. I agree wholeheartedly.

If you settle you will forever question if you should have waited.

We are such a society of wanting now, it can be so hard to wait. I was ready to order my Rogue and wait 2-3 months. I will say my dealer was willing to give it to me for invoice because I would have to wait and really it does not cost them fleet space. Not a bad deal.... and then they found one for a dealer trade and they said they could get it in a day, so I went for the trade. I wanted the grey interior and thought that is what I was getting but in fact it was black. I was a little disappointed at first. The next week I looked at all interiors and actually liked the black the best. In my humble opinion the red/black combo did not impress as much in person and the grey was really not that appealing to me. I would only consider the red/black interiorwith a black or red rogue. I am sure others feel differently it is such an individual choice. Do check around to see if you like it????

There are no rogues in my area that have the red/black interior, at least nothing within driving range.

Yesterday I went back to my dealer and checked out the rogue they had, which is the SL with the dual gray interior, which is one I test drove. It looked just as exciting to me, and made me forget the red/black interior that I was willing to hold out on.

I also jumped online and found some non production photos of the red/black interior which look nice, but from other angles and lighting, the red seemed a bit overbearing.

Sure it looks awesome in the production shots with low lighting and the internal electrics turned on, but it may not be as awesome in the daylight. I noticed the red extends into the head covers as well which I didnt like.

That being said I made my decision to get the rogue on the lot, after looking again I really did like it and I know I'll be excited to drive it. Saving a few hundred bucks for a rainy day aint that bad either. I'm pretty pumped that today could be the day. I realized looking at the rogue on the lot yesterday that it was the car and the looked that have me looked, not the interior color.

I also agree that the red/black interior looks best on a red rogue or black rogue, neither are colors I want. The rogue on the lot I'll be getting is the silver ice which along with gotham gray were my favorite colors.
