HEy guys, wuz up. I am going through the biggest mission in the world right now. My ****in rim cracked and I'm loosing air!!! I took it somewhere to see if they could weld it but they said it can't be done. I dont want to have to buy one new freaking rim that might cost me between $$250-$400. If anyone has any suggestion, please tell me. If you know where I could get one rim of the same type cheap, please let me know or of a good rim repair shop. I'll take pics of the crack and post later, for now I have to rim on my stocks after only having the rims on my car for 3 weeks. Look how freaking good it was looking before. AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They might be able to fix it ... are they chromed rims or just polished aluminum?

Welding the crack will discolor / damage the chrome ... in that case it'll be cheaper to just get a new rim. Are they under warranty?

If the crack is on the back side ... no big deal, you will not see the repair.

it's a cast/chromed wheel, unfortunately, there is no way it can be fixed; you have to replace it.

If you try to weld a cast wheel, it's only a temporary fix, once you start driving on it, after a while the weld will separate.

... I think you're missing the point of this.. if your rim cracked after three weeks... what do you think will happen to the other rims after a month, a year, etc.

Everything that glitters aint gold!

Also, I would suggest putting some real quality tires on your rims... those Nexens aren't the best quality tire, and that may have had something to do with why they cracked in the first place!

No I just bought these rims from my friend. He had them for two years. One of the tires were messed up becuz he hit a curb but we didn't know it was cracked until I replaced the tire, then it started to leak. My boy took back the rim and paid for it to get fixed, if they couldnt fix it he would of gave me money back. Yea I know Nexen isnt that good, when these wear off Ima get something better.

that > tat

If you crack your rim, get a new one, or risk death. Its that simple.
