Well I took the car out for a drive tonight and noticed it didnt seem to accelerate quite as rapid as i last recall..the engine would rev and the car would accelerate but nothing spectacular, its kinda like my-taurus-would-smoke-this-thing-bad. Ha..yeah so anyways, I get to the bottom of this hill and im in 4th at like 2500-3000 rpm and i start going up the hill and notice my car has a slight shake to it and doesnt seem to want to accelerate at all. It would hold a steady speed but wouldnt gain and the more gas I gave it the worse the vibration got, so i decided I will eventually get to the top of this hill and I can turn around and come home. Well I made it home finally. Im bettin its the clutch but 2nd opinions are always nice. What do you guys think is the problem? Thanks

Put it in 4th gear at a very low rpm, mash the gas down. If the rpms go up but your speed doesn't your clutch is slipping.

Ahh I think it's your clutch. You can try adjusting the clutch but it sounds toasted.

If you can find a shop to do it cheap go for it. It's a lot of work getting the transmission in and out.

Put your car in fourth gear, and pull emergency brake up and give it some cas. If car stalls clutch is working fine, if it doesn't stall it is slipping.
