OK I am currently scheaduled for a Tour of Duty in Iraq, but thats no excuse for me to let my car sit and rot while i am gone. JP is gunna hook it up for me while i am gone, and put a nice bowtie on the top as my present when i return. The car is currently stock aside from a Power Fc, and a AVCR. I do have KYB gr2 and eibach prokit springs, Walbro 255. But while i am gone its gunna get the following work done.

RB26 Internals Installed-Ceramic Coated Pistons(Tops and Sides)-Thagard Machined Rods (to Jun specs)-ARP rodbolts

Possibly the Combustion Chambers Ceramic Coated

Fully Blueprinted and Balanced with new internals

Greddy Metal Headgasket (With Rb26 internals gunna bump compression back up to 9.5:1 from 8.5:1)

ARP Head Studs

Fully Ceramic Coated Head-Valves -Springs-Retainers-Exhaust Ports

Top Mount Fuel rail

Master Power 62-1 'O' Trim Turbo (Supposed to be fastest spooling aside from GT series)

45mm Wastegate

3in Exhaust (from turbo)

SSautochrome exhaust manifold

SARD r2d2 Recirc BOV

Gasket Kit(Just to keep the motor fresh)

z32 or Brembo Brakes from z33 (Depends if the rims i want come thru)

I am keeping stock trans, cuz this car is gunna take me back and forth to work /school. My Cosmetic mods include a new coating of primer over entire car, and tint(Not much of a looker) I might throw on a celica spoiler which i think looks awesome on the car. Every part i named i own aside from the z33 brembo's so its all definately going to go down, cuz i know JP is gunna make it happen. My only uncertinity is size of injectors, i currently have 550 from a rx7, but idk if they will cut the mustard, well what you guys think ?

so so you are doing all of that and using an SSautochrome mani? aren't those bad manifolds unless you modify'em?

remember to take pics of it.

well manifold was only 125 if it breaks ohh well, u really only got 2 manifold choices theirs, and fullrace ii think their name is.... well and i think a aussie makes a manifold that i seen on ebay looks just like ssautochrome, but i mean thats a big differance, u usually get wut u pay for so i am taking a long shot with the mani but i am hoping that with proper bracing it will hold up heh

nice build. i would advise against the ssauto maniofold. breaking a manifold is not that oh well. depending on when/how it breaks, could spell disaster. if you do end up using it, brace it up good. let us know how it holds up.

i think a lot of people are falling to the SS manifold. Id say in a month all of us will be complaining of something.

really cant beat it. 150 shipped for manifold, gaskets, and studs.

i was thinking about taking precautions, but im just getting curious as to how much the manifold can take out of the box.

Rebuild sounds really good though. Will be a lot of fun.

are the injectors gonna fit ok? if they do though, 550 will be plenty. unless you plan on going 500+

i know injectors will fit but my rb stands for record breaker heheh, i tryin to get like 700hp, the only thing that sucks is that i wont be here when jon starts it up when finished ohh well. Injector wise i might be running like 1000cc which is gunna throw my streetability down the drain, but i do have a fuel pressure regulator and with a seperate fuel map it shouldnt be to bad.

dont think you'd need 1000cc. i'd say 750s at the most.

what bearings did you decide to go with?are you keeping the oem main bolts?any water pump/oil pump upgrades?

i wish i did some head work now... and get some badass CAAAAAAMMMSSS

I said I was leaving, but I gotta take care of my boy CJ....

750cc/min injectors will flow enough fuel to support 780 CRANKHP at 100% duty on an average FI motor with a BSFC of .55 lb/hr(Maximum Boost-Corky Bell).

At 80% duty which is considered safe they will push 623 to the crank, convert that at 20% drivetrain loss(approximated) it will equal ~500HP at the wheels, or 200HP short of CJ's desire.

1000cc/min using the same formula will supports about 1030 CRANK HP at 100% and at 80% 831 CRANK HP. 20% drivetrain loss will equal 665 at the wheels.

He will actually need to either exceed 80% duty to get 700 at the wheels or go BIGGER than 1000CC to supply enough fuel.

i thought he meant 700 to the crank, which would make a littke more sense w/ a walbro 255. Even that is impossible w/ a single walbro 255..?

your calcs seem sound, Jon and i agree you don't want to 100% your injectors. but ppl on SDU seem to go w/ the rule of thumb of 1bhp per 1cc injector from practice... *shrug*

so who wants to buy my 550s

You cant go with 1bhp/inj cc because if you have 500CC injectors on a 4 cylinder motor you are flowing 2000cc/min of fuel...now put that on an 8 cylinder motor and youa re flowing 4000cc/min of fuel. Twice the potential.

255LPH=4250CC/min

1000CC injectors on 80%duty are 800CC/min800CC/minx6 injectors = 4800cc/min so NO it wont work.

I suggest the Denso Supra pump for that kind of power at 290LPH or 4833cc/min and that should BARELY do the job.

right, of course when i meant SDU guys say its ~1 bhp/1cc, it was referring to 6 cylinder FI motors, specifically RBs. not just "any motor"
