Went to the car wash, lifted the hood, and washed everything out. Started the car (no error codes) and went for a dry-off drive on the highway at 70mph.

For some reason, from a dead stop, the acceleration isnt so good. I slam the pedal and it somewhat slowly accelerates, with the low end being especially weak.

Did I flood something? I'm going to let it dry overnight.

Hmmm....many hings come to mind: fuel injectors, sensors, etc. Hopefully just letting it dry will help. This is why you should dry your car with a leaf blower or something to make sure you're not getting water deposits in unwanted places. Let us know what you find out.

Now for the engine, can I use any old dressing (like Eagle 1 spray-on tire dressing) or do I have to use something specific for safety reasons?

That's a good place to use up all that Armor All that you DON'T want in the interior!

Leave it on to soak for a week (it'll draw lots of dust) then wash it again - It'll look good. :D
