ok...ive tried following the nissan manual. but what is this nut they talk about onthe antenna mast, is it that little silver thing , because i cant unscrew it! idk how i am gunna get my broken antenna mast out and put a new one in. help

Yeah that little silver thing unscrews. I just did this a couple months ago. You just have to do it really hard. Josh

yeah, but when i tried that i just chewed it up by the tools i was using. the whole shaft was turning instead. i gave up.

That sucks man, mine just came loose. Mine is an s14 and you have an s13 so it could be different. I doubt it but who knows. Sorry it didn't work out.Josh

I got an s13 coup I just did this with...the little thing on mine was black, with to small hole in the top, grab a pair of needle nose plyers with a skinny tip and stick the two points down into the holes and twist.

could you install a perminate one that doesn't extend? Like a perminate shorty?

yeah you can put on smaller ones soem takes some more work, Im forgetting names but i think its bart with the white vert put on a vw one, he is actualy the one I read the needle nose plyer thing from, it worked well for me as long as they are skinny enough to fit
