ok, i thought you said a lumina. you must have typed sumthing wrong. there is no way in haites that a lumina could be a decent 240sx w/ a decent driver. omg that is so gay. he for real needs to sell that car and get a pinto or sumthing. i don't know if he deserves that much

Isn't the Lumina sedan a 4-door Beretta? The Beretta Indy is one fast MOFO!!! I thought they were basically the same vehicle.

What year lumina was it? If it was a first gen Z34 then I wouldn't be too ashamed of getting beat by it. They have 200 hp and 215 lb-ft of torque, and can run the quarter in 15.4 if done right. If done wrong, around 15.8. You could get those in a 5-speed too. Kinda rare but you could.

And the Beretta is a 2-door version of the Corsica, not the Lumina. The Lumina's "sister" car is the Monte Carlo.

Ohhh yeah,..... Corsica that's right! I remember now, Thanks. I once had to install a CD player in a Corsica... WORST SETUP EVER! Most GM cars suck to do stereo work to anyway.. but the corsica had the temp/air controls and factory stereo all in one unit, very expensive to upgrade... poor fool didn't know what he was getting into!! Anyway.... I like the Beretta.. nice car.

Not a big Beretta fan myself. Most are slow...almost all are automatics..and the only good manual that is sorta fast is the GTZ with the Quad-4. The Quad-4 sucks though cuz it blows up ALL the time. Iron block + aluminum head = different heat expansion properties. So what happens when you beat on it when it's cold...boom. That and they are horriblibly suseptive (sp?) to crank walk. They are pretty fast from a roll though.

I had occasion to ride in a Beretta Indy once... (not sure if that is a rebadged GTZ).. it was standard and pretty fast as well. Unfortunately it was a hideous shade of yellow with some overdone graphics. It wasn't even the ricer bright yellow, it was like a faded pastel.. even though it was brand new paint. I would agree that they are mostly junk... and this one handled like it had wet sponges for springs... terrible body roll. I guess I just think they are good looking and fairly fast as far as almost-sporty domestics go. I'm not saying they are good cars.. but better than a lot of their competition.

I still drive my lumina around. It's a 96 with 70k dark green.. If you saw one in philly racing a ford probe with a giant tach/annoying exhaust and almost winning it was me ;)

It pulls hard but taking turn is a pita! The v6 3.l ounds mean as h3ll and I bet a nice exhaust setup would make my neighbors cry.

below are some lumina specs, which i'm pretty sure are correct.

1990-1994-Z34 - 3.4l DOCH

-base ??

1995-2001 base - GM 3100 3.1 litre hp: 160 torque: 185

LS - same, some came with a 3.4 litre Dual Overhead Cam v6 producing 210hp

LTZ - 3800 Series II 3.8 litre hp: 210 torque: 225 (ulimate sleeper/rice killer family sedan)

In 2004 there's 5.xl RWD 6-speed lumina to be anounced!:ylsuper

well it was a tempo, but before he had his license he ran into a parked van in the lot which in turn caused the van to hit a new beamer. The day he got his license he wrapped himself around a telephoe pole. The 2nd day he had it he was racing on black ice and hit the brakes on a dry spot so the kid behind him slid right into the back of him. After all the junkyard parts its a mercury tempo.

some people just cant grasp all the tasks in driving kinda like certian people with walking and chewing gum at the same time or not being able to change light bulbs, we refer to them as idiots maybe he should get a gokart an practice on that or maybe he even needs to go back to the powerwheels stage for awhile
