schweet. So now it starts up and idles...but the timing is off and it has no power. so i have to re-adjust timing with the CAS. no matter how i work it i always read about 30 degrees advaned. I can't pull it down to 15.

I'm using an adjustabale timing light, and i've read on the forums that they don't really work for the SRs...soooo any suggestions?

hahaha, I just posted this link in another thread about timing. then I go down to here and see the same. I wish I would've seen this so I wouldn't have had to spend 30 seconds searching for the link.

yea, whenever i time it it's 40 degrees off. Weird. but i'm using an adjustable light, and i hear they suck for timing the SRs. i pretty much give up. I moved the CAS back a tooth and forward a tooth..and it doesn't run in either position.

Do you have a stock ECU? It is posible the one you have was re-programed with timing changes, although 40 degrees off seems like quite a bit.

Try the bit with the iginition wire, if that doesnt work your timing gun is most probably broken.
