Man, Nissan made the worst design for their fob, all of the buttons are flat with the surface making it extremely easy to accidentally hit one.

I have had this car for less than 2 months and I have accidentally set off the panic TWICE!!!! I think I may have unlocked it a couple of times as well....

Now I'm always checking my keys to make sure it is not rubbing on a key, etc.

Do you guys have any suggestions for a guy who wants to have his keys in his pocket???

i always keep my key flob in my pocket. and i've never hit any buttons by accident. whether i'm wearing tight jeans or loose. you just need to be more careful, or arrange your keys behind the flob when you put it in your pocket, that's what i do.

I use a carabiner to hold all my keys on one of my belt loops, it's most convenient for me.

dude, I know it's a fashion trend, but you gotta stop wearing those tight a$$ jeans....tight jeans for the girls with nice a$$es!!! those aren't meant for guys, alright???

Get yourself some loose jeans and you'll never have that issue again...

If my keys are in my jeans, they, like my wallet, are always kept in front pockets. Back pockets are an invite to a panic alarm. Only time I ever set mine off the fob was in my back pocket and I unknowingly sat on it - we raced outside to see what was going on!

I used to have that problem, i'd be laying on the couch or something with my fob in my pocket and come outside only to see my windows rolled down in the rain :S after doing that twice and setting off the panic a few times i just started putting it my jacket pocket, no more problems.

Wow, whats with all the comments about tight jeans?? I DO NOT wear tight pants.....

This is what is happening, I have my keys in my pocket and I am sitting at a table and I move my leg over and hit the table leg, either the table leg hits the button or one of my keys do. This is with my keys in my front pocket.

I accidentally rolled the windows down with my key fob once. Needless to say I wasn't happy about it.

To set off the alarm or roll down the windows you have the hold the button for like 3 seconds. Just hitting the table leg doesn't set it off.

I didn't like the jackets that were mentioned earlier in the thread so I bought this for my keys instead:

Haven't accidentally set off the alarm or rolled down the windows since.

I also have this problem of accidentally hitting buttons in my pocket. I don't wear tight pants, either, I just tend to have too much stuff in my pockets. I've set off the alarm at least 3 times on accident, come back to a car with the windows rolled down, and also had my trunk left open for about 2 days (which drained the battery ) because of accidentally hitting buttons on the key fob.

Just ordered 2 of the covers mchedadi linked, hopefully that will help.

9 times out of 10 you press the panic when your sitting/leaning on it fairly hard, so i dont see how the key cover is going to help . thats just my opinion i guess...but if it works let me know!

i've had my fair share of startles because of the damn button
