So I installed my KYB AGX shocks and Eibach sportline springs yesterday. Damn, took almost six hours. But it was well worth not spending the $300 to have someone else put them on. Plus, I learned a lot during the whole process. I just wanna say thanks to Fiznat for his excellent writeup/sticky of his installation. It really helped out when I got stuck a few times! And it gave me just a better idea of what I was getting into. As for looks and handling. D@mn!! These things are great. I got em' all on. Changed my oil with some Mobil 1 synthetic and went out for a test drive. Instantly I could tell the difference in cornering speeds. Say goodbye to that stock body roll I've grown so accustomed to! I had the shocks set on 2 front 4 rear. Pretty damn good ride quality. Not quite as cushy as stock. But that doesn't really bother me. Today I decided to turn the shocks up to 4 front, 8 rear. Way stiffer ride, but d@mn! Even better handling. Like I'm on rails. Woot! As for height, it looks like the car is about an inch lower. I'm sure it'll settle after a month or two. All in all, I'm very happy with these products. I guess I'll just see how they treat me after a few weeks. Also, what does everyone else with this settup keep there AGX shocks adjusted at for daily driving?Oh, and I updated my cardomain page too. http://www.cardomain.com/membe...09151

I actually was lucky enough to know someone who owned some spring compressors. But I've heard you can also rent compressors for cheap from autoparts stores and such. Just have to pay a deposit.

hey man sweet! I'm glad that helped!

...did you see what I meant about lining up the bottom and the top (on the rears) so that you could fit the shock up and into the holes? It was really hard to describe, so I hope I did a good job of it.

Uhmm as far as settings, I usually just go kinda middle of the road for daily driving. Usually 2 in the front and 4 in the back. Tighter in the back is always fun to make the rear slide out even more hehe.

Have fun with em man, and lemmie know if you think there's anything I should add to the DIY!

...oh yeah and those compressors I used were at Advance Auto for like $18.99 or something... you can get em anywhere if you dont mind going cheap.

Yah, we ended up using a jack to get the rear ones pushed on. It really helps. we actually had to install one of the rear ones twice because I noticed a washer we forgot to put on. Doh! At least I noticed it before I put the car down.

flyfish: as 240sx2ner said pdm-racing.com sells all the whiteline products. i got them through a special that included all the whiteline bushings, whiteline springs, and f+r whiteline sway bars. the total for the package was a 20% discount but unfortuneatley they no longer have that special running. i had to buy the AGXs extra. the bushings tend to run $50-100 for each set depending on which bushings they are. the only problem i had with ordering was with the direct money transfer where i had to factor in the US-CAD transfer rate but it all got worked out. you prolly wont be spending more that $1000 there on ur first purchase so you will be able to use a credit card which will make things much more simple.

i didnt get done because i have to figure out how im going to get the bushings done. but i did take the rear struts off and am ready to instally my AGX's. to do a strut and spring install, definatley a DIY project. basically undoing a few bolts just make sure u have a spring compressor. i bought one at pepboys yesterday for $50!. i really didnt want to pay that much but i didnt see any other way to get around it.
