Is there any ECM coding required when changing to AGM on a 2008 FX-35?

No, and your '08 won't have any "smart charging" to worry about. On later models the smart charge should generally be disabled for AGM, so the alternator output stays above 13.5V. Charging an AGM at voltages lower than that can make you sorry.
