It is so funny, lately I have been really thinking that I would want my next car to be an auto transmission. Litterally 90% of my driving is from one red light to another.

This morning I'm in the Honda and BORED TO TEARS not having a clutch and shifter to play with. I guess that is the answer to the age old question. When you have a stick, you want an auto and when you have an auto you wish you had a stick. :chuckle:

At least in the G I have the paddle shifters or manual-mode with the shifter to play with. It's "not your Daddy's Oldsmobile" ;)

Plus I'm tired of shifting and not having to replace a clutch is a nice thought!

Had a stick from 1978 thru ......4 years ago.....
I love having an auto. I do use the manual mode some in down shifting thru the twisties and occasionally run thru a few gears.

If I ever start missing a stick, I just go test drive a 5.0 !!!! :gapteeth:
FINALLY, in 2014 they will get away from the retro!!! MIGHT have to consider a Furd again.

420 HP on REGULAR GAS vs 330 HP on PREM GAS at close to same MPG.......

You know what I'm getting a hankering for?!?!? A Vette. As much as I have always loved cars, I have never owned a Vette.

I could trade my V8 and my 2 seater and get me a 2 seater with a V8!

Gosh....I just don't know if I can go back to GM junk. :tisk:

OMG, when did Vettes get in the 70k range? :bs:

No way I'm going to fork out that kind of dough for a car so poorly built. You just wouldn't believe all the trouble we had with David's. It was in the shop as much as not. :tisk:

I thought the same about Dodge...but when it pushes your head back into the seat, it's worth it. :)

Go for a used (under 15k) vette. Hell, I think you'd be happy with an 03-04 Z06.

^ this...I agree, the Z06 definitely has that "kick" factor. If you're going to fork out major cash, just go GTR

Insurance is insane. When I bought my WS-6 Trans Am, my insurance was $80 more a year for the WS-6 than just a regular Trans Am. There was only like 15 h.p. difference. Crazy.

yeah the jumps in insurance are crazy. I looked into something much cheaper and simple like a 06 STI and my insurance was going to jump up $60/mth from an 08 350z...had me dumbfounded...I figured it'd be higher but not that much higher!

I don't think I could ever go used Joe. You know how anal I am. I would have to buy one from someone I knew. It would have to be a C6. The azz on the C5s was just too big. Never did like that look.

The problem is that the C6 Z06 vettes are crazy expensive still. But a stock or grand sport 09-10 would be nice too....

Is that the coolest thing ever? OMG, I love her. She acts like she is more like 70. Maybe loving cars keeps you young.

great article!!!!
And, in my opinion, DOING keeps you young.
From what I've seen/read, as you age you need to do more, not less.

I tell ya SVT, people don't understand the importance of exercize and eating right. I know you work out, you know what I'm talking about. I see more and more of my friends succomb to diabetes and joint replacements because they just won't take care of themselves. Crazy! I try to keep a healthy weight, take the right suppliments, work out and I also see a chiropractor monthly. It is so important for everyhing to be aligned properly. David and I laugh all the time about having to find younger friends. Some people don't mind getting old. Not this biatch...I'm FIGHTING IT WITH ALL MY MIGHT!!!

The problem with the US Health Care System....is that the US doesn't Care about it's Health....They are not accountable for what they put in their mouths....or how they don't do the minimum amount of exercise.
Yep, I work out 5 to 7 times per week and still battle with my problem with portion control at dinner.....
But, I haven't given up and given in to remedying my problem with numerous bottles of pills.
Of course, I'm talking in general terms here.... :)
Becki, Keep it up!! :dblthumb:

That's a little too small, I'll play it safe.
