if you're doing a swap the actual engine mileage is irrelevant, however the lower the miles on the chasis the better

It is a good question though. I've searched quite a bit and haven't really came across too much "how many is too many miles" threads. What do you guys think is the line that theres just too many miles so its not worth the effort?

I would say it all depends how the car was maintained in general. Who the owner was if its original, autox, dragged or just a daily driver etc Peering under the car at the suspension setup and driving it will give some indications. I would have to say in general about 150k and if you drop in a SR I would hope you would want to complete a god like suspension setup. If you plan on doing something don't do it half assed (general statement)complete the project as intended and make some 9/10/11/12/13 seconds passes at the track aspire to be the best in a straight line or around corners. Yee bloodline is strong and very good look at the slow POS Slug, Signal S15 ;)

Well my 240 has 193,500ish miles on it and I am still planning on doing an SR swap hopefully sometime soon. The suspension is shot, but the interior is really nice and the body is straight for the most part, so I guess it is all good. Take a look at my sig to get a better idea of what is happening first... After those steps come LSD, Z32 brakes and maybe cusco rear links, haven't decided yet. But once I get all that stuff squared away (which should be within 2 or 4 months) I will be ready for the SR.
