You dont know how right you are! My life is swirl mark avoidance. Which is a losing battle. In the almost 10 months since having this done, the swirl marks are very faintly starting to return. I think I'm hypersensitive towards them though. And even in direct sunlight you have to look closely. I'm meticulous about being careful when I wash the car, and the black is still really strong.antzrus wrote:I mean come on, your life now is dedicated to keeping that shine.
Thomas its thats awesome that you're on here. Good to hear from you. Haven't spoken to you in months. Hope you're doing well. As you can see, you've got a few fans here, besides me.tdekany wrote:H
Hey man!
I hope that the car is still in good shape.
It sure was a very tuff detail.
As Joe said above, we used alcohol to make sure that the paint was truly leveled. I wish I knew how to cover up imperfections like that.
I now live in Portland Oregon. Hope everything is well with you.
Sincerely
Thomas
Good to hear from you as well. I am proud of you for taking care of your car.ArbitrageMan wrote:

For all reading, Thomas is the man behind the shine...

I can recommend someone for you.kmk786 wrote:The car looks great......Need to find someone in Dallas for my Black M45. The previous owner must have done the brush car washes
Need to get rid of the spider webs and scratches. Any recommendations would be appreciated.
Yes.dvan wrote:ArbitrageMan,
Have the swirl marks come back at all since this was done?
dvan - the swirl marks were removed. They could not "come back". What happens is that because of washing/drying, you introduce new ones. Hope that this answers your question.dvan wrote:ArbitrageMan,

My kind of guy!!! Although I still wouldn't take it through an automatic car wash. The swirls will flatten the shine on any color.ArbitrageMan wrote: I will never buy a black car again. My next car will be white or silver, and I'll happily drive through automatic car washes, blissfully ignorant of whats being done to the paint.
That will not do it with your paint. Get a flex, some black wool padsM35x2006 wrote:professional work man.i going to buy a porter cable XP7424 kit and do this my self in the near future.
