Long link, I know. Anybody got it? The pipe on my car is rusty. I'm cheap. Is this any good? or at least a step up from the stock pipe?

Here's my fear... The metal probably cost about as much as they are selling the y-pipe for. I'm also leary of any part that is "generic" and the 10-16 hp is a bunch of

Ya, I had that pipe. Its fine. The fitment will be a little tight, but I think you'll like it. It sheds a good 15 pounds is my guess.

no, it actually seems to be pretty good quality

I think the biggest weight reduction comes from those factory heat shields

Well thanks for the input, but I know the HP claims are twice what they really should be. But My thing is just the weight savings and the cost. Its cheap. and a new pipe from the dealer is 300 with my discount.... I might just buy it...

Buy it. Unless you want a name brand aftermarket pipe. You can find those used pretty easily.

After close inspection, it wont work. My G is AWD and the pipe won't clear the transmission housing or the chassis brace. I would need one designed for the FX and AWD G. This pipe will only work for RWD coupes, sedans and FX's. However, the construction looks fine. Its has the flex tubes at the front so they wont crack. But It wont work... thanks for the input guys

That sucks. I didnt realize the x had different exhaust. I thought the Y pipes were the same across the board.

IMO, for exhaust, get a brand tht has been trusted, like stillen, md, borla, etc. I wouldnt really get the ebay stuff because ive already experienced the quality difference. the gains are no where there, they are just copied designs.
