I am having a hard time finding aftermarket wheels for my 280zx. It seams that all four lug wheels that are made today are for front wheel drive vehicles. Everyplace that i`ve been gives me the same routine. Any help other than wire spoke wheels? Wire spokes are what i have on now and they make the steering wheel vibrate at speeds between 45 and 55 mph.

The early Zcars, especially the first generation, were very sensitive to wheel and tire balance.

Very few manufacturers still make the zero off-set required by the Zs. If you want something larger than 16 inches there is pretty much nothing available.

Some of the Zcar aftermarket specialists such as Motorsports Auto <http://www.zcarparts.com> will have a few styles available. Enkie makes a BBS look alike with a Gold mesh in 16 inch size and Panasport has a good selection. Otherwise, search the internet for something for sale. I found a set of Epsilon three piece modulars for $400 last year (No you can't have them!). It also helps to find other cars with the same wheel requirements such as some Moustangs and Toyota Supras.

Start searching the Zcar web sites <http://www.zcar.com>. Good luck!

For future reference.

Four lug Moustang wheels fits the ZX and the Z with flares.Four lug Toyota Supra wheels fits both the Z and ZX.

what is the bolt pattern on the s30 z's? I thought it was 4x114.3mm (4x4.5")like the s13-14 and stuff. I had heard the mustangs were 4x4.25".

those are nice, the split 10s. I prefer the split 8 multi-spokes personally like these. but those look great. its too bad the 4x114.3 is as uncommon as it is among wheel manufacturers. lots of cars use it.

actually the supra rims do not fit the first gen z's. as the hubs are larger than the wheel center holes. btw, i reccomend the konig rewinds for some real cool looking cheap wheels.
