I just purchased a new '07 Murano SL. I would like to replace the stock wheels with something wider, using a lower profile tire that is the same diameter as stock. Does anyone have any experience doing this? I want to maintain speedometer accuracy and not cause any interference problems. Suggestion? Gotchas?

Thanks

Tom

Welcome to NICO Tom

Fortunately the murano uses very common offsets and the same bolt pattern as most nissan vehicles. Which sorta makes this a broad topic... If you oculd tell us what you want to run (diamater rims and width tires) i can suggest a wheel/tire combo!

Thank you for the reply. I would like to stay with the 18" wheel diameter, but go up to 10" wide on the rims. I would like the end result to be the same overall diameter as stock (approx. 30"). Again, thanks for the help.

im not sure youll be able to run 10s on the front... the way the front suspension is designed i HIGHLY doubt youd be able to get 18x10s on the front..... Theres really not many nissans you can get 10in wide wheels in the front thats considered a "normal" fitment.

I want to run aftermarket wheels on my newly purchased Murano. Could you tell me what the biggest size I could run. I was thinking of going with 20" wheels. Not sure what style yet. How much would that affect my gas mileage? Thanks

You guys know there is an air pressure sensor inside the wheel, right? How do you put aftermarket rims on with this sensor??
