is it possible to wire an aftermarket gauge(ive got a sunpro) to the factory sending unit? thanks!

You can wire it in to the stock sensor but you'd be lucky if the reading is correct, unless the gauge has a knob to adjust the reading.

can anyone tell me what each(the little and the big) sensors are near the water neck?

You could have found that from a simple search. But the small one is for the cluster, and the larger one is for the ecu reading. The larger one is more accurate fyi.

The two wire is used by the ECU while the single wire is used by the dash.

true that, an i did end up searching for it and found out that it tells the ecu when the engine is cold. and that it affects engine idle at start up(while cold) and fuel economy. i was considering removing it to install my aftermarket temp sensor. is this a bad idea? does it affect spark advance or anything important?

You can remove the smaller one, but not the bigger one. Bigger one is important for the ecu.
