Warranty claims on executive cars:

"This month, we're taking a look at executive cars and with the amount of money changing hands in this class, you'd expect rock-solid reliability all-round. The reality, however, is different.

Plenty of so-called quality marques show disappointing results in the reliability tables, according to the latest data from Warranty Direct. "

Car mechanics 'charge more than barristers' By Barrie Clement, Transport Editor Published: 17 February 2006 It's what you always suspected - it can often be cheaper to employ a doctor or a barrister than a car mechanic.

A survey reveals that motorists are frequently paying more than £100 an hour for labour at car dealers franchised by manufacturers.

That's $185 per hour..................49 pounds/hr for Vauxhall and 140 pounds per hour for BMW.......$260/hr.

Man we have it so good [cheap] in US.

Yea, I even noticed that in the initial price of the car. I went to Ireland last year and my rental was a Nissan Primera. I would guess it would be like a Sentra in the US. I went to the Nissan Ireland website and they wanted like 25k euros for it. That's over $32k US, for a car with a 1.6 litter 4. You can pay as much as 30k euros ($38,600 US) for the 1.8 litter. I don't know about you, but I wouldn't like to pay that much for a Sentra. Hell, I paid less for my BMW 330i. The primera was a nice car, but not nicer than my Bimmer.

By the way, a 350Z in Ireland is 56,295 euros. That's $72,462.93. Save your pennies.
