aftermarket tweeters in a 90-93q

i'm 1/4 of the way through replacing the bose unit and have decided to go with component speakers in the front. my question:

for those of you who have put component speakers in an early q, where did you put them and how (surface, flush, etc...)?

i'm leaning towards surface mounting them in the sail panel just near the mirror, but would like to hear what others have done and your thoughts on the results. thanks. randy

The 94-96 Q had them in the moulding that covers the a-frame by the windshield. If you can find the right color in a salvage yard, it might be a good place to put them... one advantage would be not having to fish wires through the door!
